The HEC Paris Summer School provides motivated students and young professionals from around the world the opportunity to experience the world-class faculty teaching of the school, and to network with bright-minded peers, all eager for an academic challenge.

Note: some Finance programs will require a background in a finance-related area.

Interactive Online Programs

Start date(s) / Duration: 5-week programs running through the month of March 2025

Our Interactive Online Programs are abridged versions of our Summer Programs. They offer a semi-flexible alternative for people leading busy lifestyles around the globe and who want to continue their learning during the academic year, responding to the demand for online alternatives, whilst ensuring a dynamic, interactive environment and cohort. The professor-paced format ensures that the program is completed within a fixed timeframe – a key factor to successful completion!

Format: interactive online modules, combined with weekly live-time sessions on Zoom plus additional self-study hours. Weekly commitment of about 8 hours per week.

SKEMA Summer School

AI for Business

Dates: July 8-11, 2024, Montreal Canada

Duration: 4 days

Program content:
The 4-day curriculum of the AI for Business Summer School will take place at Montreal, known as the ‘Silicon Valley of AI’.

This program is designed for individuals interested in learning how to apply AI, data science and machine learning to business. The lectures will focus on the areas of data science that have made the most useful advances over the last several years, including machine learning models, forecasting, optimization, computer vision and natural language processing. The classes will be organized around AI applications that have been developed to solve business problems in multiple industries.

The main goal of the summer school is to provide participants with a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence and its main disciplines like data analysis and exploration, predictive modeling, forecasting, optimization, and deep learning.

Who should attend:
Open to non-specialists (highly motivated postgraduate or undergraduate students and professionals), the summer school will provide hands-on opportunities to develop models and apply them to understand and solve business questions.

GOBELINS Summer Schools

Character Animation

Dates: 30 Juin - 11 July 2025 

Duration: 2 weeks

Program content:

  • Master Character Animation in 2D or 3D

  • A mix of theory and practice during 2 weeks: morning conferences & afternoon workshops -

  • The morning classes will present you with different aspects of the animation pipeline and will be followed by workshops, where – depending on your goals - you will be able to create a unique animation sequence in 2D, or a body mechanic shot in 3D, under tutors’ guidance.

Admission requirements:

Background in Animation or Visual Arts, good drawing skills, proficiency in TVPaint software for 2D, or Maya for 3D (to be accepted in the workshops).

Summer School in Real-Time Animation using Unreal Engine

Dates: 30 June - 11 July 2024

Duration: 2 weeks

Program content:

Starting from a pre-blocked platform level, the student will design and create the setting elements, gameplay details, props and characters in order to finalize a playable level in line with their artistic direction.

Over an intensive two-week span, the selected participants will:

  • Attend enlightening lectures during which GOBELINS’s professors will share their renowned knowledge in Game Art.
  • Dive deep into video game design concepts.
  • Familiarize themselves with essential game development methodology.
  • Benefit from state-of-the-art digital facilities: one computer in class per student - equipped with Unity and Blender software – during immersive workshops.
  • Receive invaluable individual feedback from tutors.
  • Enhance their skills in a practical and collaborative setting.
  • Work on crafting a short game, culminating in a demo presentation. 

Admission requirements:

  • Students in Design, Gaming, Animation
  • Age Requirement: Minimum age is 16.
  • Candidates must be 18 years old to be eligible for the Full Package.
  • Students below 18 can opt for Package 2 (see below package details).
  • Proficiency in English:
    The Summer School is 100 % taught in English, hence the participants should have a good command of the language to benefit from the programme.
  • Mandatory prerequisites: Proficiency in either BLENDER or UNITY.
